11,20

Shippoh is a symbol of harmony and good relations. Called the Seven Treasures in reference to the Seven Treasures of Buddhism, this traditional motif was very popular in Japan during the Edo period (1603-1868). The overlapping circles create a beautiful and elegant pattern found in many cultures since ancient times. Depending on the angle, it resembles a juxtaposition of flowers or four-pointed stars.

Beautify your home’s Zen corner with this beautiful and versatile incense burner. You can use it to burn Japanese incense by inserting one or more sticks into the marble dust. It can also be used to make smudge sticks with bundles of plants or palo santo. If the marble dust is dirty, you can clean it by soaking it in water and draining it through a fine-mesh strainer.
